KYOO 99.1FM AND 1200AM TO REMAIN LOCALLY OWNED
The pending transfer of Polk County’s only locally controlled broadcast radio stations KYOO from Stephen and Ann Paris to GoodMoRadio of Florida has been terminated. “After dealing with GoodMoRadio for over a year we are more excited about the termination of the transfer of KYOO to a large corporation than we were about the potential transfer” stated Ann Paris on Monday. “With the exodus of long standing businesses in Bolivar and the surrounding community the last thing our hometown needs is to lose it’s only locally controlled radio station. As we refresh our commitment to home we encourage town folk to give us their input on how we can better serve their needs. It is vital in this time of economic uncertainty to support local business and we encourage you to do business locally…shop at home, eat at local restaurants, read your local newspaper, listen to your local radio station…doing this will insure the prosperity of our local community.
